ORDERING INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS FOR COSTUME COMMISSIONS

Please read all of this information before sending me any commission requests for quotes (a quick and easy template for requests can be found at the bottom of this page) 

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU

1. The name if the character you want to cosplay
and their specific costume you want made
  • This means if they have multiple costumes, be sure to let me know which one you want!
  • Let me know if you want the FULL costume or just part of the costume (such as dress, skirt, top, cape, etc.)
  • I don't do accessories or props unless it is something that can be sewn 
  2. Several high quality reference images of the costume 
  • Please include front, back and side images of the costume, otherwise I will not have a full understanding on how to complete the costume 
  • If the costume is highly detailed then highly detailed shots are required! 
  • If there is a very defining part or detail, such as a logo or symbol, I will need a clear image of it, otherwise it may not come out right!  
3. If you request a custom design...(such as fanart, gijinkas, genderbends, etc.)
  •  I will need many detailed images of the costume requested 
  • If the art belongs to someone else, ASK THEIR PERMISSION BEFORE REQUESTING A COMMISSION OF IT! It will be required that you prove that you obtained their permission before I will make the costume. 

4. The date you need to have the costume finished by. 
  • Please include the exact date you need your costume finished in this format: Month/Date/Year 
  • Please refrain from saying things such as "I need it for 'so and so' convention" or "I need it in about two months"

5. Any other relevant information you feel I should know before making the costume
  • Are there certain materials you want me to use?
  • Do you have a budget?
  • Do you want there to be functioning pockets? 
  • Do you want to add lights? 
  • Are there any other details you want me to know about?  

What I Do After This
  •  I will review your request and let you know whether or not I will be able to make the costume 
  • If I can, then I will let you know via email and get your measurements and non-refundable placement holding fee of $25 and begin the process!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW BEFORE ASKING FOR A QUOTE AND/OR ORDERING  

 
1. Typically, I need at least 4-6 weeks to finish the costume 
  • This all depends on the complexity of the costume commission
  • I am the only one working on these costumes and I make time to do these in between working regular jobs during the day, so please be patient! I will keep you updated and will respond quickly to any questions or concerns you may have
  • I like to finish and send out your costume about a week or so before you absolutely need it (just in case any issues arise with postage, etc.) so we can get the issue corrected before it is too late 
  • If you need your costume in a shorter amount of time you will likely get charged extra for me to work harder and get you your costume faster 
  • Once you have given me all of the information in the What I Need From You section I can let you know if I can finish your costume in a smaller time frame 

2. There is a $25 non-refundable reservation fee to reserve your spot once you have given me:
  • Everything above in the What I Need From You section 
  • Your measurements 
3. After I make a pattern with your measurements I will get the non-refundable cost of materials
  • This will vary depending on how complex/detailed your costume is
  • All material costs will be estimated up-front in a list format that will be sent to you. Once you agree to the cost of materials then I will get the non-refundable payment and get the materials for your costume 
4. Once I get all of the materials for your costume I will then begin working and send you progress photos, and at that point I will ask for 50% of the labor costs
  •   This payment is non-refundable 
5. Once the costume is finished, you will receive photos of the finished product before it is sent, and then I will ask for the remaining balance of the labor costs as well as cost of shipping the costume to you

6. I only accept PAYPAL (at the moment)
  • For payments I will send you an invoice through paypal, which charges a fee of $0.30 USD plus 1.9% - 2.9% of the amount received, which will be included in the total on your invoice.
  • Please send all of your payments as soon as possible, I will not begin on a costume until the required payments are taken care of, meaning I may not be able to guarantee that your costume will be finished by your specified due date if you wait too long to send me those payments
